2026 Alberta Summer Games Summary

The Alberta Summer Games, taking place in Strathcona County, offered a full mini-Olympics experience: team buses up north, shared quarters in the Athletes' Village, communal cafeteria meals alongside athletes from fourteen different sports, and marching under the Zone 3 banner. Sending five swimmers to this event was an extraordinary achievement for a club of our size.,,,, andrepresented the Patriots on deck at Millennium Place while soaking up every bit of the Games experience.

Our swimmers made a huge contribution to Zone 3 (Calgary) winning the cup with their numerous podium finishes!

Twelve-year-oldput together an unforgettable series of races. She swept gold in the 50 Fly, 50 Breast, and 100 Breast, but her biggest milestone arrived in the 100 Breast: a performance that earned her first-ever Western time standard. To top off her weekend, she set a brand-new #1 all-time Patriots club record in the 12-year-old 50 Breast with a time of 35.26 seconds, while also placing on all-time top 10 lists in three other events.

Twelve-year-oldproved virtually uncatchable in the sprint freestyle events, winning gold in both the 50 Free and 100 Free alongside a bronze in the 100 Back. He dropped time in every race he entered, earned Provincial Champs standards in both freestyle and backstroke, and wrote his name into four separate top 10 club record lists.

assembled a versatile four-medal haul of his own, taking silver in both breaststroke events and bronze in the 100 IM and 50 Fly. Kwok also secured all-time top 10 club rankings in the 100 IM and 50 Fly.

Twelve-year-oldgrabbed bronze medals in the 100 Free and 50 Back, earning his first-ever Provincial Champs cut in the 50 Back and climbing to #6 all-time in the club records. Eleven-year-oldearned bronze in the 50 Free and moved up to #2 all-time in Patriots history in the 100 Free with a time of 1:05.26.

Beyond individual accolades, our five Patriots joined forces with fellow Zone 3 teammates, including,, and, to sweep five gold relay titles, two silvers, and a bronze.
