Calgary Patriots Dove into Long Course Season at the 2024 Provincial Championships

Congratulations to the Patriot swimmers on their outstanding performance at the Provincial Championships (March 7, 2024 to March 10, 2024). The swimmers demonstrated exceptional skill, achieving personal bests in an impressive 63% of their races.

Noteworthy accomplishments include the achievement of 9 medals by Federico, Will C, Levi, Sammy, and Annika, along with the 13&Under boys' relay team. Additionally, we proudly acknowledge three new Western qualifiers who collectively secured 5 new Western times; Cadence with 3 times, Alex with 1, and Daniel with 1.

A total of 36 swims in the A final or top 8 placements were attained, involving contributions from all our relay teams, as well as individual efforts from Annika, Hailey, Cadence, Jocelin, Samuel, Will C, Levi, Federico, Ethan, and Ivan. Furthermore, 26 additional swims in the B final showcased the skill and dedication of Pablo, Emiko, Will Z, Jesse, Szilard, Tatjana, Jocelyn, Jade, Morgan, Cate, Harriet, Daniel, Alex, Justin, and Jayden.

Special recognition is extended to Federico, Will C, and Levi for achieving youth recognition times for their exemplary performances throughout the year.

The standout performer of the meet is Cadence, who swam an impressive 7 out of 7 personal bests, secured A finals three times, B finals three times, and attained 3 new Western times.

Federico earns the second swimmer of the meet title for setting three club records in 50 Breast, 200 IM, and 400 IM. His exceptional performance includes winning three individual medals in 100m Breast (Gold), 200m Breast (Gold), and 200m individual medley (Bronze), making the A final in all of his events.

Samuel, our third swimmer of the meet, showcased tremendous endurance by swimming a total of 5,000m across the longest events and qualifying for finals in all of them. His also contributed to two relays, resulting in a Silver and Bronze medal.
