Calgary Patriots Excel at the Winter Provincial Trials SC
The Calgary Patriots Swim Club had an incredible performance at the Winter Provincial Trials SC meet this last weekend , showcasing the hard work, dedication, and talent of our athletes. With a remarkable 43 participants (the second most of any team), the Patriots made a significant impact in the pool, achieving an impressive 147 personal bests and a staggering 37 podium finishes!
Personal Bests and Podium Success
Our swimmers truly rose to the occasion, showing that the Calgary Patriots are a force to be reckoned with. With 147 personal bests, it’s clear that the team has been putting in the work and pushing themselves to reach new heights.
But it wasn’t just personal bests — the Patriots had 37 podium finishes, including 12 golds, 12 silvers, and 13 bronzes. This success is a testament to the hard work and perseverance of each swimmer.
The podium finishers were:
- Zack Schwanke: 4 podium places
- Charlie Serra: 4 podium places
- Fara Wachtler: 4 podium places
- Reese Kanuit: 3 podium places
- Harriet Nimmon: 3 podium places
- Kira Barber: 2 podium places
- Aaron MacDonald: 2 podium places
- Rhilynn McKibbon: 2 podium places
- Erika Robinson: 2 podium places
- Megan Sauder: 2 podium places
- Quan Sun: 2 podium places
- Elise Dechant: 1 podium place
- Lexi Gilmour: 1 podium place
- Anna McLellan: 1 podium place
- Aria Warwick: 1 podium place
These performances highlight the depth of talent within the Calgary Patriots Swim Club, with swimmers across all squads contributing to the club's success.
New Champs Qualifiers
We’re also excited to announce that 10 Patriots swimmers qualified for the Provincial Championship competition bringing the total number of qualifiers to 43. The following athletes earned their spot this weekend to compete the weekend of March 20-23, 2025 in Edmonton:
