Calgary Patriots Shine at the 2025 Winter Festival!

The 2025 Winter Festival, the first Swim Alberta meet of the 2024-2025 season, took place this past weekend at the Kinsmen Sports Centre in Edmonton. This exciting three-day event brought together top qualifiers from across the province, and the Calgary Patriots made a strong statement with 20 swimmers from our Grey, Black, and Red squads in attendance.

Outstanding Performances

Our athletes delivered an incredible 78 personal best swims and secured 13 individual podium finishes:

Dominant Relay Teams

The Patriots relay teams were in top form, earning three gold medals:

🥇 Female 12 & Under 200m Free

• Isla Curtis, Elise Dechant, Stella Pasalic, and Kira Barber

Youth Recognition Achievements

Two Patriots earned Top 5 Youth Recognition Awards for meeting event time standards:

Silas Kwok – 100m Breast and 50m Fly
Audrey Thompson – 50m Back, 50m Breast, 100m Breast, 50m Fly and 100m Medley

North vs. South Relay Success

Audrey Thompson, Kira Barber, Elise Dechant, Silas Kwok, and Desmond Phillips were selected for the North vs. South relay events, with all five competing on teams which secured wins for Team South.

A Strong Start to the Season
