CSI 2025: Singapore Sling Success

The Calgary Patriots capped off May with an outstanding performance at the CSI 2025: Singapore Sling, hosted by Cascade Swim Club from May 29 to June 1. With 58 swimmers representing the club, our athletes delivered a powerful showing with 122 personal bests and 37 podium finishes – including 16 gold, 11 silver, and 10 bronze medals.

Will Cameron led the charge with an impressive 5 gold medals, while Hudson Blough, Noa Burger, and Samuel Bygrave each climbed the podium four times. Levi Hildebrand, Emily Pegg, and Ivan Ramirez Amador followed closely, each earning three medals. Additional podium finishers included Isla Curtis (2), Jocelyn Evans (2, Szilard Szep (2), Scarlett Herget (1), Jaden Lee (1), Vera Swanson (1), and Jocelin Zhu (1).

The meet also saw five new club records set.

  • Levi Hildebrand broke the records for 15-year-old males in the 50 Freestyle and 200 Freestyle.

  • Will Cameron established new benchmarks for 14-year-old males in the 50 Butterfly and 400 Individual Medley.

  • Noa Burger set a new record for 13-year-old males in the 400 Freestyle.

A special congratulations to Levi Hildebrand and Will Cameron, who have both qualified for the 2025 Bell Canadian Swimming Trials, taking place June 7–12 in Victoria, B.C.
