CSI May Meet Summary

CSI 2026: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
Meet Summary
An appropriately chaotic start
Before the first race even hit the water, oversubscribed events meant some swimmers were at risk of getting scratched entirely. Fortunately, our rockstar coaches went to work behind the scenes and managed to get our patriots on the blocks. A strong start to a weekend that ended with a host of new standards, awards, records, and top swims.
Aria Warwick joins the jersey club
Every swim club has its unofficial big-deal achievement. For the Patriots, it is earning a Jersey Time.
This weekend, Aria Warwick got hers in the 100 Breaststroke with a 1:18.20, then casually followed it up by winning all three breaststroke events. If you are looking for who had the best weekend, the investigation can probably end there.
A head start on next year
Josie Johnson earned her first Provincial Trials cut in the 50 Breaststroke!
Malcolm Schmidt Mitchell and Abigail Lee both qualified for Champs in their next age group, Malcolm in the 200 Breaststroke and Abigail in the 50 Fly, taking some pressure off next season.
The record book took some damage
A lot of swimmers moved into the Patriots all-time top 10 this weekend. A few skipped the line entirely and landed straight in the top three.
Audrey Thompson climbed to #2 all-time in the 400 IM and #3 in the 200 Breaststroke. Isla Curtis now sits #2 in the 800 Free. Aria Warwick, Abigail Lee, Madden Murray, Nolan Curtis, and Samuel Bygrave also added top-three swims to the growing pile of updated records.
Nothing but green
In swimming, dropping time in every race is oddly satisfying. Several Patriots managed exactly that this weekend.
Evan Ng led the way with a 12.5% average improvement across all of his races, and he was joined by Rhilynn Mckibbon, Sophia Kwok, and Amara Harris whom all had PB's across the board.
Personal bests, but make them official
One of the quieter milestones in swimming is setting a new "Top Swim," the highest-scoring swim of your career.
Several Patriots did exactly that this weekend, including Eva Vaage, Evan Ying, Sebastian Cristancho, Brynn Burrell, Ellie Thai, and Weston Phillips, all posting career-best performances by this measure. No medals required; just faster swimming than they had ever swum before.
And finally
Thank you to the parents who spent another weekend proving that swim meets are really an endurance sport for the whole family.
