Patriots Exceled at Winter Festival South

Winter Festival South (January 27-28, 2024) was a fantastic opportunity for our younger swimmers to get a taste for a provincial level meet. The meet was 2 days with timed final events, except for the 50 Free and 50 Backstroke both having finals at the end of each session. White, Grey, and Black squads combined for 18 participants swimming.

Swimmers combined for a total 57 personal bests. This stat is impressive, but even more impressive considering most of the athletes had just completed these events at Puglseys Plunge the weekend before. We had 5 podium finishes: Aria Warwick with a Silver and Bronze, Audrey Thompson with a gold and a bronze, and the 4x25 medley team (Everett White-O’Neil, Aria Warwick, Audrey Thompson, Sander St.Arnault) with a gold medal.

The 10+under girls and 11+under boys did a fantastic job of racing hard in back-to-back weekends and represented the club very well at a provincial event. Congratulation athletes!
