KSC LC Invitational

Our Silver and Gold squad swimmers started May strong at the MNP Community & Sport Centre for the KSC LC Invitational. They wasted zero time getting to work, immediately adding to their medal counts and leaving their mark on the club's record boards.

Earning a Provincial Championships cut is a huge milestone, and since Champs is being hosted locally this year, it means the parents actually get to sleep in their own beds instead of an overpriced hotel. Congratulations to 16-year-old Vivaan Vaidya, who punched his very first ticket to Champs as a 16-year-old in the 100 Breaststroke.

If this weekend proved anything, it’s that our breaststroke group is not messing around. Open category swimmer Skyla Wever secured a pair of silvers in the 100 and 200 Breast, breaking into the highly competitive Open girls' all-time top 10 with a #10 rank in the 100 Breast. 17-year-old Emily Pegg hauled away two golds in the 100 and 200 Breast events and upgraded her own all-time rank to #5 for the 17-year-old girls' 100 Breast. 16-year-old Vivaan Vaidya added to the momentum, snagging the #10 spot for the 16-year-old boys' 200 Breast. Missing the breaststroke memo entirely, Cadence Waldhuber refused to lose her sprint events, sweeping three golds across the sprint freestyle and butterfly races.
