Patriots Close Out Season with a Splash at the Inaugural Summer Classic
This past weekend, the Calgary Patriots wrapped up their 2024–25 competitive season by hosting the first-ever Summer Classic at the Brookfield Residential YMCA at Seton. The meet marked a strong finish to a successful season, bringing energy, excitement, and exceptional performances to the pool.
An impressive 162 Patriots swimmers took to the water, producing 468 personal bests and 224 podium finishes—including 82 gold, 74 silver, and 68 bronze medals. The standout of the weekend was Aria Warwick, who reached the podium an incredible seven times. Not far behind, with six podium finishes each, were Kira Barber, Nolan Curtis, Lincoln Giroux, Esme Hockey, Dylan Lee, Huxley Maaskant, Ria Veronica Mangubat, Stella Pasalic, and Sophia Rippe. Rounding out our top medal winners were Danielle Dhadwal, Jaden Leem, Weston Phillips, and Eva Vaage, each collecting five podium finishes.
Nolan Curtis set a new club record in the 800m freestyle, establishing a new benchmark in the 10-year-old male category.
