Patriots Set Club Records and Reach the Podium at 2025 Summer Championships

The Calgary Patriots had a strong showing at the 2025 Summer Provincial Championships held this past weekend at the Kinsmen Sports Centre in Edmonton, with 28 swimmers proudly representing the Club.

Patriot swimmers delivered an outstanding performance, achieving 119 personal best times and earning 45 podium finishes, including 11 gold, 23 silver, and 11 bronze medals. A total of 12 swimmers reached the podium in individual events, showcasing the depth of talent across the team.

Among the standout performances was William Cameron, who capped off a phenomenal season by winning eight gold medals. Additional individual medalists included:

  • Noa Burger – 1 gold, 5 silver

  • Samuel Bygrave – 1 gold, 2 silver, 3 bronze

  • Livi Hildebrand – 1 gold, 3 silver, 1 bronze

  • Federico Martino – 4 silver, 1 bronze

  • Owen Jamieson – 3 bronze

  • Szilard Szep – 2 silver, 1 bronze

  • Leah Thompson – 2 silver

  • Hudson Blough – 1 silver

  • Hailey Cameron – 1 silver

  • Isla Curtis – 1 bronze

  • Ivan Ramirez Amador – 1 bronze

The success extended to the relay events, where Patriots teams reached the podium in several races:

  • Silver – Boys 15 & Over 800m Freestyle Relay: Levi Hildebrand, Zack Schwanke, Oliver Jean, and Samuel Bygrave

  • Silver – Boys 14 & Under 400m Freestyle Relay: Federico Martino, Noa Burger, Madden Murray, and William Cameron

  • Silver – Boys 15 & Over 400m Medley Relay: Szilard Szep, Hudson Blough, William Cameron, and Levi Hildebrand

The meet also saw a flurry of new long course club records, with 22 individual records falling over the weekend:

  • William Cameron (14) – 100 Free, 50 Back, 100 Fly, 200 Fly, 200 IM

  • Levi Hildebrand (16) – 100 Free, 200 Free

  • Noa Burger (13) – 200 Free, 400 Free, 800 Free, 1500 Free

  • Szilard Szep (15) – 100 Back

  • Hudson Blough (16) – 50 Breast, 200 Breast

  • Federico Martino (14) – 100 Breast, 200 Breast

  • Samuel Bygrave (16) – 200 Fly, 400 IM

  • Isla Curtis (13) – 400 IM

New club relay records were also established:

  • Boys 14 & Under 800m Freestyle Relay – Federico Martino, Noa Burger, Will Cameron, Madden Murray: 8:58.67

  • Boys 14 & Under 400m Freestyle Relay – Federico Martino, Noa Burger, Will Cameron, Madden Murray: 3:57.48

  • Boys 15 & Over 800m Freestyle Relay – Levi Hildebrand, Zack Schwanke, Oliver Jean, Samuel Bygrave: 8:09.91

  • Boys 15 & Over 400m Medley Relay – Szilard Szep, Hudson Blough, Will Cameron, Levi Hildebrand: 4:03.28
